Dear Beloved Community,

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and l will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

This weekend many across the country were affected by storms and severe weather conditions. Still, we hear of power outages and weather disruptions. My simple message this morning is for peace and calm in the storm. Of course, storms don’t need to be literal, they can be storms within or amongst. You might find the prayer below helpful.

Dear Father in heaven, grant us the inner quiet we need so that we may come into your presence and hear you speak, forgetting all the things that try to force themselves upon us. May we experience your true and living support. Keep our hearts glad and thankful for everything, even in grief, anxiety, and suffering. In this thankfulness we can remain with you, and Jesus Christ can help us, Jesus, whom you have given as our support and helper in all that most deeply concerns us. We entrust ourselves to you. Keep us in your Spirit. Amen.

Blessings

Rob

We want to say thank you! This Sunday during our altogether service, we want to invite all our volunteers to come along as we celebrate volunteering and offer our thanks. We hope you might come along.

Play Café Gets OWT!

There are still some spaces available for this week’s Play Café, which can be booked through the parish website. We continue to gather in the hall for a couple of months of ‘hibernation‘  with messy, sensory and loose parts activities and child-led play. Lots of wintry, polar and arctic sensory and messy invitations to play again this week; dyed rice, desiccated coconut, water and ice, our homemade playdough, while  our loose parts mat will have lots of snowy imaginative play with snowballs to throw. The popular melted gloop snowman and salad spinner spin art painting will be back too and lots more, including story and singing time.  For more information conatct Lynn 087 695 7061

Bumps & Babes

Every Wednesday morning the couches in the Gathering Grounds are reserved for our ‘Bumps & Babes’ group from 10am -11.30am.  A warm welcome awaits new parents, and parents to be. This is an informal, friendly meet-up to enjoy a cuppa in company, relax, chat and meet others in the community.  So, if you’re expecting or have a baby from newborn to pre-walking, we invite you to come alone or bring a friend. There’s no need to book.
