The Gathering Grounds is a honesty box community café located inside the beautiful Kilternan Parish Centre. In this fast-paced world we have all come to know, we are ever mindful of the need for community, belonging, growth, and healing. At the Gathering Grounds, this is just what you’ll find.
A team of dedicated volunteers run the café, serving great quality coffee and tea, where you will find a comfortable space and a friendly face. We are open to the public:
While this may look like other attractive cafes you have been to, in reality, it is a far deeper system of support for anyone who wants it. We hope to bring joy to your day and make strangers feel at home and that everyone finds a listening ear and nourishment for their soul.
As the name suggests, the Gathering Grounds is designed on the principle of gathering; we live better when we are connected. We can’t wait to see you in the cafe!
The Gathering Grounds is a voluntary community café supported and run by two part time staff that provides a wide range of services every week to families, at risk communities and social outreach projects. From our Meal Train to help families and people in need, to seniors lunches, mental health support and hosting a wide range of community activities, the Gathering Grounds hoss hundreds of people each week in our community. If you would like to make a donation towards our work you can contact us or donate online, all support it greatly appreciated and we are a fully audited and registered charity with published annual reports that are available on the information table inside the front door.
