Kilternan Parish is a growing parish in the foothills of the Dublin mountains with over 300 families and dozens of groups, societies and volunteer teams. As well as offering a full range of services on Sundays including vibrant worship services and more traditional services, faith formation nights, a community café, and a range of children and youth work and community activities.
Kilternan Parish is in the Church of Ireland Dioceses of Dublin and is part of the Anglican Community but our members come from a broad range of traditions and nationalities with a wonderful diversity of people of all ages who can connect and grow in faith together.
These are exciting times at Kilternan and we hope you can join us on this Journey with God. – Rev. Rob Clements
We have a range of services on a Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings and mid-week. See our upcoming services on our calendar here.
There is no dress requirement and feel free to come as you are!
Coming to a new church for the first time can raise questions so for guidance in particular the Contemporary Service held three times a month at 9.45am is a modern, family friendly service held in the Gathering Grounds and not in the main Church building and is and very casual filled with kids and a lot of fun.
Absolutely! And to help parents and little ones we’ve designed the 9.30am Church services for families, young adults and children of all ages. Kids from 4 to 13 stay with you for the first 20 mins and can attend Sunday Club halfway through and there is also a soft play area with toys for toddlers and babies in the service so you don’t need to leave (even for those little tantrums!) and the services are designed around young adults too so there is something for all.
People of any faith background or none are most welcome in Kilternan and communicant members of other Christian churches may receive Holy Communion in the Church of Ireland. It’s the Lord’s table, not the churches, so all are invited to receive. If you have any questions we’d love to help and you can contact us here.
We would love to have you join us. The first step is to have a chat with the rector Rev Rob. You can schedule a coffee or call here.
For 8.30am and 11am services in the main Church there is a ramp into the church, and a loop system for those with hearing aids. There is not a specific wheelchair space, but there is plenty of room in the isle.
The 9.45am services and Sunday Night services are located in the Parish Hall and have easy wheelchair access including toilet facilities.
We also have a disabled parking near the entrance.
If you need any assistance, please let the church wardens or welcome team on site know.
