Dear Parishioners,

As you will be aware, Reverend Clements has begun his short sabbatical which will see him take some time away from Kilternan Parish life for the next few weeks.

We hope that Rob’s sabbatical journey is one of discovery, rejuvenation and inspiration and we very much look forward to welcoming him back at the end of May with a renewed energy and refreshed perspective. Let us keep Rob in our prayers during his absence, asking for encouragement and guidance for him in his endeavours.

Please be assured that a detailed plan to ensure that our Parish continues to run smoothly is in place and you might keep an eye on Parish notices over the next few weeks.

In the meantime, thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We are excited to have Rob back with us very soon!

Regards,

David Webb

Secretary of the Select Vestry

Bible Buddies & Easter Sticker Calendar- Families Journey Through Holy Week

Last Easter we launched our first Bible Buddies Reading with an adoption day. Since then, we have a further 2 adoption days and almost 70 Bible Buddies have made their way to homes in the Parish and beyond. This year we have an exciting new resource for families to use alongside their Bible Buddies as they celebrate Easter. Children and families of all ages will enjoy exploring the Easter Story using a short storybook with fun and vibrant artwork, and a story scene with colourful stickers to add. These will be available for families this week at our 11am service on Palm Sunday. However, if you will be heading away and unable to join us and would like a Sticker Calendar and Storybook to take with you, please do get in touch with Lynn. If your child has yet to adopt a Bible Buddy, we still do have some looking for homes – just contact Lynn. cfm@kilternaparish.ie 087 695 7061.

Play Café Gets OWT! (Outdoors With Toddlers)

We are egg-cited and hope to have a spring in our step this week. We will most likely remain inside until after the easter break. All our sensory, messy and loose part play activities, story and singing will have a spring and easter feel to them. There are a few spaces left which can be booked through the parish website. Should you miss out on a space and wish to join the cancellation list contact Lynn cfm@kilternaparish.ie 087 695 7061.

Bumps & Babes

If you are a new parent, or parent to be, you are invited to come join us and enjoy a cuppa in company on the couches in the Gathering Grounds from 10am on Wednesday. The informal friendly meet-up is a space where you can relax, chat and meet others in the community.  So, if you’re expecting or have a baby from new-born to pre-walking, come alone or bring a friend. A warm welcome awaits you and there’s no need to book.

For more information contact either Julie  gatheringgrounds@kilternanparish.ie or Lynn 087 695 7061.

Inclusive Family Play & Meet-Up

Our next Inclusive Family Play & Meet Up is this coming Saturday 23rd March 11.30am-1pm. This group is for children with additional needs, their siblings and parents, guardians, caregivers and grandparents too. A small group session, with sensory activities and experiences and invitations to play. This is an opportunity for caregivers to enjoy a cuppa and meet other parents. Parents/caregivers will stay and be available to their children during the session, however, there will be support on hand throughout. Family spaces can be booked through the parish website. For more information and details contact Lynn 087-695 7061 0r email cfm@kilternanparish.ie .

Kitchen Table Project Update

The Kitchen Table Project supports family centred faith formation. Each week we send an email to those signed up, with a simple idea to use during the week as a family. We aim to encourage and inspire families to nurture faith at home in the everyday.  If you think this is something you are interested in, or the time now feels right for your family to join in, you can get in touch with Rob or Lynn, and we’ll get you signed up. The structure of the initiative means families can sign up at any time without feeling they have missed out. Let’s pass on a vibrant faith to the next generation.
