Dear Beloved Community,

With great excitement, we welcome Reverend Rob back from his sabbatical, today!  He dipped his toe in on Saturday when he came along to the Fête and briefly played some music with Hugh on the grass.  Pray for him as he jumps back into the community and clerical duties.

The dust has settled post-Fête and apart from wonderful memories and found treasures, it is like it never happened!

There is an overwhelming feeling of thanks for the work of so many.

A special thank you to Niamh, Gretchen and Grainne for their long hours and organisation of the Fête.

Thank you, Craig, and all the guys who gave time and energy for setup on Friday evening, Saturday morning and the take down after the Fête.

Thank you to all the sponsors and donors for your generous contributions.

Thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time this last week receiving and organising donations.

Thank you to the many volunteers on the day who helped set up, sell, serve and stay to the very end of clean up.

Thank you, Annemarie, and the finance team for running us like a well-oiled machine!  The current count is at €33,200!  An amazing result!!

This is an important fundraiser for the parish and school and this money will enable us to fund the ministry and mission of the parish, but the Fête is more than that. The Fête is also a day for our beacon to shine bright, to share our community and expand our community to the growing local population around us.  It is the best day.  Thank you all so much for being part of it.

Blessings,

Kilternan Ministry Team

Play Café Gets OWT! (Outside with Toddlers)

We were delighted to be joined by so many busy bees last week as we made the move back outside with our Gets OWT!  programme. and celebrater World Bee Day. We will aim to be outside each week, weather permitting, with our messy and sensory play activities, story and singing. The month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and though we always seek to create a safe space to support parents, this week we would like to create awareness through some of our activities.  We invite those joining Play Café Gets OWT! to wear GREEN, if they like. We hope to be feeling great in the great outdoors. Our Mindfulness Trail will be up so do take a stroll through our interactive trail and activities at each stop along the way and other activities set up as usual- lemon sensory playdough, citrus and herb water and ice play, painting, and lots more. Please note this will be an outdoor session, so if you are booked in for this week, please do come dressed for the Irish weather though the forecast looks good! We are fully booked, however last-minute spaces do become available, so should you wish to join the cancellation list contact Lynn 087-6957061

The informal friendly meet-up is a space where you can relax, chat and meet others in the community. A warm welcome awaits you and there is no need to book.
