Dear Beloved Community,

On Sunday, we had the pleasure of hearing Ruth Gyves speak at some of our services, on the Gospel reading. In this passage found in Luke 24.36b-48., it’s the night of Jesus’ resurrection and he stands among his disciples saying, “Peace be with you”. The disciples are in emotional turmoil – upset, fearful, anxious, and confused and Jesus meets them exactly where they are.  We will all experience times when we are fearful, which threatens to overwhelm and immobilise us, impacting our decisions and actionsWherever, you find yourself on your journey this week, if fear is part of your story, may you hear those same words that Jesus spoke to the disciples, right now where you are, just as his disciples heard him speak them, “Peace be with you”.

We leave you with some words from scripture, from Jesus, as he reminds us to invite him in. and allow ourselves to be led and guided by him.

“Come to me all who are burdened and heavy laden, and I will refresh you”.

Blessings

Kilternan Ministry Team

It’s yet unclear as to whether we are able to embrace the OWT! (Outside With Toddlers!) part of our programme and make the move back outside this week. We’ll keep an eye on the weather forecast.

Bumps & Babes

The informal friendly meet-up is a space where you can relax, chat and meet others in the community.  So, if you’re expecting or have a baby from new-born to pre-walking, come alone or bring a friend. A warm welcome awaits you and there’s no need to book.

  Kitchen Table Project

The Kitchen Table Project continues to support family centred faith formation. Each week we send an email to those families signed up, with a simple idea to use during the week. We hope to encourage and inspire families to nurture faith at home in the everyday.  If you think this is something you are interested in, or the time now feels right for your family to join in, you can get in touch with Lynn, and she’ll get you signed up. The structure of the initiative allows families can sign up at any time without feeling they have missed out. Let’s pass on a vibrant faith to the next generation.
