Dear Beloved Community

One of my favourite prayers comes from the Remembrance Service. We finish our worship by saying Merciful God, we offer to you the fears in us that have not yet been cast out by love. May we accept the hope you have placed in the hearts of all people,

and live lives of justice, courage and mercy; through Jesus Christ our risen redeemer. Amen.

God is love. People need love desperately, all people, in every walk of life! Love transforms us. Love invites us to lift our eyes beyond our pettiness and selfish desires, towards something greater. Love is greater than the totality of our fears and our concerns.

Today my prayer is that you, wherever you are, you may know the love of God.

Blessings

Rev Rob

Alpha 2025 starts this Month
We’re delighted to be running the Alpha Course in Kilternan for the fifth time – and we’d love for you to join us! Alpha is a series of relaxed, friendly evenings that explore life, faith, and meaning. It’s designed for everyone – whether you come from a faith background, another denomination, or none at all. Each evening begins with some food (usually a dessert, teas and coffees), followed by a short video and open conversation where no question is off limits. Everyone who has done the course and shared extremely positive feedback – many describe it as one of the most meaningful and enjoyable experiences they’ve had, regardless of where they were starting from. So whether you’re curious, searching, or simply looking for a space to connect and chat about the big questions of life, Alpha is for you. Come along, bring a friend, and see what it’s all about! There are 8 Sunday evening sessions and one Saturday and the course is run in the Gathering Grounds Cafe in the Parish Centre. Sign-Up via the parish website – https://kilternan.churchsuite.com/events/drntfjlkThe whole course is free and there no pressure just a place to explore life, meaning and faith
